This webinar will go over two case studies from a food manufacture in the Midwest. Their CBM Analyst is Certified CAT 2 in ASU and IRT. He has partnered with the IRISS Technical Service Team to investigate fault conditions and help to expand the theory of Ultrasound Diagnostic and Sound Pattern Analysis. This CBM Analyst is the IRT Analyst as well and his use of both these technologies has been aided by outside service providers who perform the Vibration and Oil Analysis onsite. We will look at two unique case studies that used ultrasound and IR Cameras as their front-line testing technology and dive into a motor fault determination and fault detection of an oil filled transformer.

About the Presenter
Drew’s fascination with Infrared began in 1981 when National Geographic Magazine released their Special Edition titled Energy which featured a full front and back cover done with an infrared camera in what we call the Ironbow setting. He would go on to enlist in the U.S. Army where he served in Desert Storm as a Forward Observer which he got to use an Infrared Targeting system to spot targets for artillery strikes. He would later go onto being involved in the Fire Service where he became a Lieutenant in a volunteer fire department with 9 years’ service as well as operating with the NY State Region 4 HAZ-MAT Team as a Specialist out of Saratoga County NY. He also worked for a UE Systems for over 13 years traveling the world as a senior instructor and consultant where he would teach the use of Ultrasound & Infrared into an RCM/P/DM program. His love of these technologies has led him to Author the most comprehensive book on Airborne/ Structure borne Ultrasound (ASU) and developed the ISO 18436 Part 8 ASU Certification CAT 1 -CAT 3 courses. He would go on to Co-Author and design the ISO 18436 Part IRT Certification CAT 1 -CAT 3 course materials.
