WEBINAR DESCRIPTION:

This webinar will give a brief introduction to planetary gearboxes. Focus will be held on calculations for a simple planetary gearbox stage regarding RPM, GMF, ratios etc. An example with a multistage planetary gearbox will also be explored.

Learning Takeaways:

1. The main components of a simple planetary gearbox stage is explained and which parts can be used as inputs and output.
2. How to calculate output based on input.
3. That GMF calculation differs for a planetary gearbox compared to non-epicyclic gearboxes.
4. Calculating ratios for multistage planetary gearboxes.
