Today we sit down with Peter Eitnier, the Senior Applications Engineer for Wilcoxon Sensing Technologies. He will be going into detail on best practices and troubleshooting for permanently installing accelerometers. Vibration sensors and acelerometers should be mounted, in general, as close as possible to the bearings. The shaft turning speed is the driving force for both the machine itself, and the vibration signal.
