Industrial Electrical & Mechanical Technician
Location: Frazier Park, CA
ARCOSA Lightweight is searching for an Industrial Electrical & Mechanical Technician for our Frazier Park, CA plant. In this role you will lay out, build, test, troubleshoot, repair and modify production electronic components, parts, switch panels, electronic equipment and systems. You will make electronic, mechanical, or electrical repairs on all computer controlled equipment. You will perform PLC and or CNC programming, and troubleshoot all electronically controlled production equipment.
What you’ll need:
- Adheres to/performs duties in accordance with MSHA and NEC regulations and guidelines
- Key member of safety team to implement electrical safety program. (LOTO)
- 480 V AC 3 phase motors and motor controls
- AC/DC single phase motors and controllers including servo drive systems.
- PLC and relay logic controls in various manufacturing equipment.
- Equipment communications protocols.
- Electrical power distribution systems.
- Installing and repairing electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications. Using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment
- Responsible for implementing preventative electrical maintenance program. (thermography, pm’s, etc)
- Wire and program electronics and control boxes with PLC programming
- Follow all safety rules and practices
- May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
What you’ll need:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years of industrial electrical and mechanical experience
- Prompt, regular and predictable attendance
- The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
- The ability to work in varied outdoor environment (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
