Georgia-Pacific is currently recruiting for a O.S.B Condition Monitoring Reliability Specialist to support our O.S.B. Group. The selected candidate can reside in multiple Georgia-Pacific O.S.B. locations: AR, FL, SC, VA.

The Condition Monitoring Reliability Specialist will lead and support the rollout of wireless vibration sensors and support sites to create and align predictive asset health strategies for condition monitoring transformation. This role will provide support in improving operating availability by expanding industry reliability best practices through the Lumber/Plywood facilities. This role will work directly with Lumber/Plywood Division Reliability Manager, CSC Team, and O.S.B. sites. The Condition Monitoring Reliability Specialist is responsible for implementing and maintaining condition monitoring systems across all O.S.B. sites for the division and collaborate with other divisions in the same region.

A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

    • Working with sites on key critical asset condition monitoring strategies and innovation projects to improve our proactive condition monitoring on key assets
    • Ensuring that all data needed from vibration systems and all other sensors related to PM/PDM is installed correctly
    • Developing a strategy to keep the systems working, naming conventions meet standards, and site PPR’s for systems understand their roles for the process to be successful
    • Partnering with sites to improve availability on identified critical assets and ensure work process is being followed
    • Managing work order backlog for all critical assets including all corrective work identified and prioritized from KCF, Uptime Solutions, Emerson, Pruftechnik vibration analysis systems, Ultrasound routes, Thermography routes, Temp readings, MCA analysis, or other means of collecting data for condition monitoring of our assets
    • Serving as Division Vibration analysis subject matter expert and drive innovation to allow for centralized monitoring of all equipment

What You Will Need:
Basic Qualifications:

      • Minimum of 3 years equipment and/or manufacturing systems reliability experience
      • Experience working with wireless and hard-wired vibration sensors
      • Experience in leading improvement efforts in Asset Reliability, Predictive and Preventive Maintenance, and have experience routinely utilizing Root Cause Analysis or other similar problem-solving tools
      • Must be able and willing to work in a manufacturing plant environment, including extended periods of time in noisy, non-air conditioned or unheated areas
      • Must be able and willing to work safely, including wearing and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
      • Intermediate or higher-level proficiency with MS Word and Excel

What Will Put You Ahead?
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering -OR- have equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Cat1,2, and 3 vibration analysis certification
  • Ultrasound Level 1 certification
  • Machinery Lubrication Technician 1 (MLT1) or MLT2 certification
